Girl Power!

Last night me and a few other girls, I believe it was Cerri, Rydia, Eryth and some a few others, were all in a conversation on MSN reminiscing on the bands we used to listen to when we were kids and growing up and who we idolized. The Spice Girls was definitely one of them. As a little girl, I absolutely adored this band to bits and pieces. My favorites being Ginger and Baby.

When Ginger left the band I was absolutely crushed and not long after my favorites were Baby and Sporty. Just last year they had a comeback tour where they played 47 shows around the world, though there were some places they didn't get to go, unfortunately. They released a new hit song called Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) which fans around the world loved. After 10 years, the girls reunited (their return was a hit amongst major fans and they even gained new ones!) and then went out with a bang.

These legendary girls are known as:

Sporty Spice: Melanie C.

Baby Spice: Emma

Ginger Spice: Geri

Posh Spice: Victoria

Scary Spice: Mel B.

So who here was a fan, is a fan, used to be a fan and would like to be again? These girls were a big part of my childhood and growing up. It's hard to explain why, but I felt after last night's conversation, this definitely needed to be made. I think Rydia was the one who inspired me to make this club more than anybody

It was nice listening to some of their old songs and watching their old vids on YouTube

The rules are as follows:
You must be a fan of the girls
No bashing the girls or their personalities, etc...
No bashing their music
You can post pictures, banners, sigs, videos, etc...

We used to play spice girls in nursery...I alsways wanted to be baby, but got scary instead...I miss them, who wouldv'e thought that posh would become an anorexic?

I was/am an unabashed Spice Girls fan.

My favorites have always been Melanie C(her voice is incredible), and Posh.<3

I've NEVER really forgiven Geri for leaving the girls, I don't think I ever will, tbqh..

Favorite Music Video? Viva Forever.. favorite song.. uhm.. hmmm... Say You Will Be There.

Oooooooooh I wanna join! xD The Spice Girls were like, my favourite group when I was younger.

I really wanted to see them earlier this year but I think the closest place to me was Manchester.

I used to listen to them allll the time, and I had a baby spice barbie doll aswell.

Posh wasn't anorexic O_O. I believe that was just a rumor started because of her slim figure. Girls can be thin without being accused of being anorexic. She has three children and is married! lol Melanie C is actually the one who battled an eating disorder and depression. She's doing excellent now and from what I've read is wild/crazy in love with a man named Thomas Starr. I saw some pics of them together <3 They look so adorable! I'm so glad there's more fans out there other than me!

I'll join though xD I used to LOVE the Spice Girls when I was younger, and at my primary school, you weren't cool unless you listened to them xD

I still have a few songs of theirs on my Ipod too...

I have a few of their songs on mine too. My favorites being Too Much, 2 Become 1, Goodbye, Mama, Viva Forever and their newest one, Headlines. Did any of you guys ever have the dolls of them? One Christmas my mom bought me the entire set with the little stage and everything. It was pretty awesome! I wonder what ever happened to those dolls I had...?

Ohh I think some of my favourites were 2 become 1, Viva Forever, Too Much, Stop and Who Do You Think You Are?. I remember singing Mama to my mum on Mother's Day when I was really young..

Oh dear..

I had the dolls too lol. I have a Baby Spice one lying around somewhere and my sister had Posh Spice. XD Posh's hair is an absolute mess now lol, I'll try and find them and post pics.
