Vayne and Cid: Anti-Heroes?

Let's take the definition of an anti-hero as Wikipedia describes:

With this being said, would you classify Vayne and Cid [and even Venat] as villains, or anti-heroes? If you choose the former, consider again the entire plot. Vayne and Cid, while totally going about it the wrong way [i.e. lacking heroic attributes and qualities] wanted to give man the right to write his own history and be the barers of his own destiny [i.e. a heroic trait]. In essence, I believe that they wanted to save Ivalice from the Occuria but simply got caught up when they were given the fruit of knowledge.

I've blatantly summarised this, but do you find them to be full-blown villains, or anti-heroes?

I do agree, he WAS trying to pave the way for a better style of life for Humans, Vayne that is. But he went about it in a terrible and destructive way.

I think Dr. Cid was just mad, not an Anti-Hero, not an Antagonist, just stark mad, perhaps brain-addled from the amount of Nethicite he exposed himself to?
