Final Fantasy XIIPresumably the last "main" game to be released on the PS2, FF12 broke the tradition of Battle Screens. It was also the sixth game ever to receive a perfect 40/40 score from the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu.

Tutorials
Oh yes I'm annoyed already
I thought it was about time I replayed this glorious game only to find myself pissed off already. The tutoroials are bloody annoying to say the least. I gritted my teeth and got thru the whole Reks rigmarhole only to mooch into the sandsea and get a long drawn out tutorial on the Licence Grid.
This was fine the first time round as I actually needed to work out what the hell was going on.
This time however, after finally knowing what the hell Im doing (sort of) I thought I'd just be able to press the cancel button to get rid of it but oh nooo, it made me endure the entire tutorial. I mashed all my buttons trying to get rid of it. Triangle just brought up the 'log' option so I resigned myself to just mashing the X button and paying no attention.
THEN it started mooing at me. wtf, not ONLY does it want me to to sit and read this tutorial again but it wants me to pay attention and fucking interact with it.
Tomaj: press the X button and select Acessories 1 on the licence grid *sigh*
And not only that it wants me to scroll thru Vaans menu to see what magic etc he has.

Hahaha. I think I had the same problem when I started replaying this game. I actually think I ended up turning it off after the license grid tutorial because I was annoyed.
Truthfully, I think all tutorials should be optional. I rarely pay attention to them anyway and I usually end up figuring it out on my own.

You'd think they would realise when they make these games that some of us might want to, you know, REPLAY it....
Which makes compulsory tutorials a bit pointless and boring. They should make it optional just so we are more likely to want to pick it up a second time and sail through without the holdup.

That's what I did, I turned it off and came for a rant. There really is no need for long drawn out tutorials, unless they are optional. If I played this game as often as I play VIII then I could seriously see my TV getting broken
