dragon mail
there is a chest in the barhiem passage that randomly has the dragon mail in it and now at my point in the story and lvl would be a HUGE help.

i wonder does any one know if this chest os one that can spawn a dragon mail all the time... i would espically like gabranths help on this lol

I think you can get it in two locations given the treasure chest spawns the Heavy Armor. Anyway, the Barheim Passage (West Annex area) in one location and the other would be the Cerobi Steppe (The Northsward area)...

Or, you can buy it in Balfonheim for around 12500 gil (after Giruvegan).

Yeah what he said. The one in barheim is a 70 percent chance of in containing gil. So of the 30 percent of it having an item 50 percemnt of the it will be dragon mail. So the barheim one has a 15 percent chance.

The cerrobi steppe one requires diamond armlet and is only 5% chance so its not worth it.

yeah i was trying the chest in barhiem and it took liike 10 tries just for dragon mail... what a annoyance i tried to get it over and over and it didnt come so i figured it wouldn come back. i was wondering. given the paitents can i get as many as i need..

If I'm not mistakened, there are 3 armours of the same kind that carry a higher Defence rating than the Dragon Mail. One of which can be bought off a merchant and the far rarer and better one (defence-wise) located in the same area dropped from a monster.

yeah but im not that far in the stroy and i just need this armor for a little while so my charaters can survive the nechrol of nabudis so i can get adaminte and it is just a good place to train... plus i cannot buy anything for a while because im saving up to buy the last canopic jar which is freakin expensive and im a little short on gil

That will be the maximillian. You can aquirre it as soon as you reach the salikawood. All you have to do is beat king bomb then enter Nabudis. Fight the elvorets for a 1 percent drop chance

lol thats saying i can beat them right... tehy bat me pretty bad . i havnt been there since i did the trick to get the zoadic spear early on so ill try it agin today when i get home from school. what does the elvoret look like . it is one of thoes unicorn looking things a zombie a turtle ?
