| Final Fantasy XII Presumably the last "main" game to be released on the PS2, FF12 broke the tradition of Battle Screens. It was also the sixth game ever to receive a perfect 40/40 score from the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu. |

i find it very hard to figure out what direction to go in this game, unlike other ff games, and find myself checking the map constantly, the little map in the coner just doesnt seem to help, has anyone else had this problem?

Actually, I liked having the mini-map and the larger maps to refer to. I found that in the dungeons and areas of a lot of the other games, I really had no sense of where I was because of the lack of a map.
I also liked how a lot of the areas connected to each other. For example, the many entrances to Zertinan caverns. The map system in this game was well done, IMO.

From what I remember, I really had no problem with the mini-map in the corner. Took me a few minutes to figure out and a few more to get used to it...but overall, I found my way easily enough.

I never got confused with what direction I was going in but I did get lost quite often and had to backtrack, mainly because most of the map on some stages looked exactly the same and the mini-map just wasn't big enough.

I rarely consulted the minimap and mainly just went through areas and searched the areas and got used to which directions lead to where and followed landmarks. So all in all I had no trouble at all as I rarely use it! Same with other FFs tbh.

Shees some people sure find everything in FFXII is bad.
Map was very good and helpful. Some dungeons I went watching minimap not my characters so map was good but I think I could make with out it.Although it was definately more useful than minimap in FFX. XII dungeons were labyrints ( good thing) while X dungeons were usually only one, two-screens and then it was over(bad thing) .
