I do think FFOnline would have been better. It would have been nice if they'd bought out an offline version, though. My parents won't pay the monthly fee, and I don't really blame them. Paying full price for a game then being made to pay more each month is a bit of a scam, in my opinion.

There is no possible way to make an offline FFXI unless you wanted to buy a huge HDD for your PS2(which doesnt excist, its only 40gb)

This isnt like offline games where they ship it -> profit. It cost them money to keep the 30+ servers online and they're constantly working on the game, Doing major updates every 2 months or so and small adjustments all the time(They have to pay people to do this). FFXI is about 500x bigger(if not more) than any of the previous FFs so when you think about it 12.95 is not a lot at all. Definitely not a "scam".

Also considering I havnt bought new games in the 4 years I've been playinf FFXI, I only buy them used or on greatest hits now I'm actually saving money.

it doesn't really matter to me what it was called since i wasn't going to play it no matter what the name was, but i could understand why some people would get pissed at the fact that it gets a number. it doesn't compare to any of the other final fantasies, its completely different, and shouldn't be considered one of the 12.

I agree with you, Aerith. When I first got it, I thought it would be another Final Fantasy with awesome graphics, characters, and battle system.

But it was completely different. >.> It was good, but not what I had expected.

definitely FF Online cause making the title as FFXI doesnt make sense at all
