I don't see the huge problem with it being called Final Fantasy XI. Is it just because people want to play every single game in the series, but refuse to play the online version? I would have preferred Final Fantasy Online, but it hasn't hurt anything with its name.

In my opinion, it shouldn't even have the "XI". Like FFTactics, it could easily been a spin off title. They could easily have done something else for XI and just called this game "Final Fantasy Online". There is no need for the game to be apart of the main series.

Maybe not but probably have pissed off lots of people when they found out that the eleventh installment of the series was going to be an MMORPG. I think judging by this poll that the majority of the fans would have wanted the game nothing apart of the main series.

I never had a chance to play FFXI...
First of all, my parents refused to pay a monthly fee so that I could be further warped into the internet. Now that I'm free on my own and everything and a few years have passed...I look at it and think "it's probably not worth my while".
I don't feel like I missed out.

Why do you just assume it isnt worth your while ?
You should atleast give it a try, if you're a fan of the older FFs and Tactics you'd probably love it. And you could be paid 50cents a day and still come up with enough to pay the monthly fee. When i started playing I was 17 in highschool I just saved lunch money a few times a month to cover it.

I totally agree!
This will probably be the final fantasy I will never play. Unless they bring it out for PS3(which I should be getting in the near future). That would be a relief. I hate the fact that I might never play a main FF game...
