My favorite job is summoner because you can do virtually anything on your own. My least favorite job is dragoon because they're basically useless and can be replaced by any other job and suffer no consequence.

My favorite job to play was Bard/WHM but I also had an awesome NIN/BLM, and even though nobody takes that job serious out side of japan, it was a lot of damn fun to play!
oh yeah, and I too didn't like RDM, but I loved having them around...

I thought monk was pretty boring in the early levels. I've never been a high level monk though, so I can't really attest to that. Heard they kick ass and are really powerful when they get in the 50s and up.

Yeah Monk gets very powerful in the later levels. Once they hit 70+ and get into KRT it's 70-75 in days.
They're also extremely powerful in most Ballista caps.
Also one of the most expensive jobs if you want it to have that kind of strength though. A lot of its power comes from the gear that it can equip; Black belt, Cross Counters, hate gear, etc.
I was a DD guy, but I didn't play Monk much (20) just because it got boring and felt very one-dimensional.
