Time Mage

While its not exactly confirmed it was posted by Jonnyram who is a very reliable source(http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=182710).

What kind of spells/abilities would like Time Mage to have (if its confirmed)?

Haste and Slow are a given I think, but it'll need some abilities of its own even if its using a lot of spells that already excist in game. I'm hoping for AOE Haste. Not sure what they would do about Slow II since its already a RDM merit ability. 2hr could be a long Stun I think or an uber AOE Haste would be sweet XD

Maybe they could just copy all the abilities from Final Fantasy Tactics?

^ I agree. Its plenty of abilities right there. Plus they'd have Haste and Hastega go all the way up to IV and probably the same with Gravity, although i think they would just leave it Gravity, Gravira, Graviga, and Gravija (lots of gravity spells XD) Also, there are supposedto be introducing new spells, so I think Meteor or comet would be one of them.

I read somewhere that they were adding time mage.
When I discussed it with my linkshell they all sorta said its a bit pointless.
The time mage has some tie in with the story to WoG. Although I don't know what that is! >.<

I too think that the spells would just be suped up versions of haste, slow, possibly gravity.
I also hope that they bring in something completely new, although I doubt that would happen!

Either way I can't wait to try it!!

I've never liked the idea of a time mage. usually they end up sucking and then make black mages suck. Usually they'll mostly have status aliment attacks but then they'll also have spells like gravity, comet, and meteor which your black mage then won't have.

Yeah WotG will focus on the past(time travel), So I have a feeling a key NPC or possibly villain will be a time mage. I'm pretty sure meteor is out, its a really powerful spell in FFXI, they'd have to tone it down a lot to give it to a job.

Hmm, I'm thinking it could be a villan too.
But I've heard that when the it comes out places Like Sauromange Champagne will be restored, like all the buildings will be how they were in the past.
I'm just thinking, would you have to activate some sorta quest for this to happen or will they it just change wen WoG is installed?

you'll be able to travel back and forth in time, probably through some sort of portal/item/npc.

Well, they did say they were bringing in some new support jobs and possibly a new tank. I wouldn't doubt if the Time Mage was one of the new support jobs, I'm sure they'd be helpful in some way. I really want to know what the other jobs will be >.<
