I can distinctly remember Nova being an area-effect magic, meaning that unlike single-hitting magics like Flare, this one targets all opponents a la Ultima. So long as there's 2 or more enemies in the fray, this is one instance where using Nova you can technically deal more than 99,999 damage in a single turn depending on the enemies' Magic Defence stat to Kimahri's. Doublecast + Ultima would probably more ideal magic-wise though, but you would benefit from Quick Hits in the long run if you want to minimise MP consumption.

However, multi-hitting capabilities should not be underestimated, and this is a department where Kimahri is deeply lacking in compared to the others. Once you've completed the game, and have plans to conquer the Monster Arena (or the Dark Aeons/Penance in the PAL release), Kimahri's limitations will be revealed even more.

The thing is, once you get everyone to max potential on the sphere grid, Single Overdrives that only do area affecting, or single 99999 is useless, because by this time, everyone would be capable of dishing out Ultima on a regular basis. Not only that, but if my FFX memory serves me correctly, if you touch the savepoint again, your completely healed, so the loss of mp means very little in this game, and shouldn't at all by the time your powerhouses.

In the Monster Arena is definetly where you'll see the limitations of characters who cannot deal out 99999 in numerous successions within a single turn. Yuna w/ Yojimbo seriously would be God Tier if at times Yojimbo wasn't as random, because she can wipe out any opponent in the Monster Arena with one single turn.

Lulu has the most potential to deal out the most damage though, I've had it where I've done 14 Hits with her Overdrive with Ultima, this would've suprassed even Aurons 12 hits with Attack Reels. However, the only reason I didn't push Lulu above Wakka, is that doing 12+ rotations to get that potential is tough, while Wakka's is much easier and far more consistent.

I will however admit this, the tier listing for characters from playthrough, Khimari is actually quite solid due to him having Pierce+Power to back him up, and his OD's are fairly useful, but unfortunately at their strongest points, Khimari gets outshined severely.

Comparatively, yes... but honestly who uses that kind of skill? =/
Oh stop being so fucking ignorant for a change. No he couldn't ultimately deal as much damage as others, but that doesn't mean to say he was entirely incompetent in battle.

He has a good STR value, and decent enough magic power. Which you could easily enhance by accessing another's grid. Challenging to do? Not in the slightest. Worthless fighter? Not unless you're fighting Nemesis, the Dark Aeons, or Penance.

come on his last overdrive is nova hit 1 time thats 1 99999 wakkas hits like 12 even yunas have a bigger purpose (they are good in a nsg challenge)

and saix whats with the adttitude as i was once told here everyone was titled to their own opionion. plus once kihmari completes his own he has to start out near the begining of everyone eles which make him really go down


plus when you are fully upgraded with 255 stats the only thing that matters is ovewrdrives i mean come on kihmari can learn doom as a overdrive DOOM i think that speaks for it self

Kimhari is just a joke. Seriously. JOKE. The Ronso has nothing going for him. Apart from his semi-dreadlocks which he stole from Lulu. And she makes it look hot. He makes it look like a cross between a biker and a nightmare on elms street. Its all about agility, and he fails. In DotA from WC3 he's one of the best characters ironically being an agi hero that can windwalk, but square decided to fuck him over here. Poor bastard. He's a shit version of quistis in terms of limit breaks, I mean her shockwave pulsar has a break damage limit while you have to go round catching butterflies. The sphere grid hurts your eyes as you get 1 clear sphere and +3 for every thing you delete and add...which takes about a week of solid playing if you're going for that whole "i'm amazing look at me I killed penance". Kimhari wasn't dealt a good hand. His weapons are rather lame apart from piercing which helps with about 3 story fights, maximum (two of operation mihen and defender X, I'd say). R.I.P. ronso.
