Summoner Question...
Why bother getting all the other Aeons when all you really use is the Final Summoning? Are the other Aeons just a way to help the Summoners get to Zandarkand?

Well, you have to admit that they did make the journey easier. I guess that was pretty much the point of them. Getting all the aeons also adds to your completion percentage, and besides, it's hard not to go through a game without unlocking all the optionals and secrets. xD

It was the summoners training to recieve the final aeon. i like to think that the summoner needs to already have a certain number of aeons so their mind and body is ready to recieve the final aeon.
that and the game would be pointless without them =P

Haha yes true, the game would be worth dirt if they didn't have them. War, I was thinking more story wise than game completion wise. I know what you mean though, I can't finish a game unless its all the way done haha.

Well the game would seem pretty pointless if you didn't get the Aeons, because the party would have missed so much. And if they didn't need to get any of the Aeons, as soon as the start of the game they could've just went straight to Sin, but the party would be underlevelled.

Agreed. The summoners must show that they have trained for this and become stronger, so they must get pray at every temple and obtain every Aeon in order to prove to lady yunalesca that they are worthy or whatever to get the final aeon and use it to defeat sin. That and it would make the game soooo much shorter
