It was great. The ending couldn't of been much better really, and it nearly got a tear from me the first time around which is something that is hard to do. It wasn't a completely happy ending like most FF's, and it didn't make up a shitty excuse or plot twist so that Tidus could stay for a 'happy ever after' ending. Both Tidus and Auron both gave the impression of true hero's, excepting their fate and going gracefully.


Then X-2 came out ....

amazing but i cried so much. tidus and yuna tried to hold back their feelings so much! but they were just so strong! and they couldnt be together!!!

I was satisfied with the ending. It was sad, but it was a conclusion. The little scene at the end of the credits was nice, but it was also cliche, giving hope that Tidus would show up again when really Square should have just left it alone.

But the fact of the matter is popular demand is for the happy endings, or at least something hopeful to hold onto. I'd be lying if I said I didn't like happy endings, but if it a solid conclusion, than you can't really go against it.

And the sequel X-2 was horrible. Most of the story was crap that was just something to fill the game and give a reason for Yuna to reunite with Tidus, and if you didn't get enough percentage point at the end of the game, it would be moot point anyways, just showing another scene of Tidus encouraging Yuna on with a phantom hug one more time.

They should have just left FFX with Yuna sad but still strong enough to look forward to the future.

If Square really wanted to make more money off of FFX, instead of making a sequel game, they should have made FFX-2 as a side story to explain the stuff that happened "1000 years ago", like they're doing with "Birth By Sleep" for the Kingdom Heart series. They could've used Lenne and Shuyin again, and for the hell of it used character like Gippal and Paine as people who existed 1000 years ago or something to add to the story.

At least that's what I think.
