I was very satisfied with the ending. It showed that even though they accomplished their goal, it doens't always end happily. Truth is I cried, but in order for it to even bring out that emotion in me, only shows how much satisfied I was.

Yes very much so, Yuna was so much better off without him, she only started breaking the law (ignoreing the Teachings of yevon) when he showed up and fucked everything up

Of all the different games I've played (and that isn't just limited to FFs), I think this game had one of the best endings that I've ever seen in an RPG. I like both happy (and unfortunate) and unlikely endings to great stories, and this one successfully provided both different aspects.
Tidus was a great protagonist. As a matter of fact, I prefer an adventurous risk taker as oppose to a hard ass hero. So in the end of the game, I had a lot of appreciation for his character.
One great tip for laying out a great story is to always understand the situations that your characters are in, but to never have sympathy for them. I'm glad that the writers didn't give this game a sympathetic ending and allow Tidus and Yuna to live happily ever after, since we know long before the ending what the outcome will be.

I agree that the ending was perfect and fitting. It wasn't the happy sappy ending that everyone is accustomed to, but a bittersweet ending full of twists. X-2 pretty much ruined all that...I suppose the world wants a happy ending...

He had to disappear because he was a dream of the Fayth, had he not disappeared, however, changes would have had to have been made to the story and the game probably wouldn't have been as good.
So yes, I'm satisfied with the fact that he disappeared as it was inevitable, it had to happen or in short - a perfectly good game with a decent story would have been ruined.

It makes a change for the norm and having every character in tip top shape at the end of the game.

I voted yes because I thought it was a good idea to have Tidus vanish! It meant they could make an awsome sequal where he would come back but the sequal flunked it!
But it was also sad but made a good twist it was quite shocking to find out he was just a "DREAM"
