Is there such thing as ultimate armour in ffx?

i heard each character has an ultimate armour in ffx, like a celestial weapon, is this true? and if so how do you get them?

The short, simple answer is No.

Although you can customise armour for each of the characters with abilites that would suit them, like One MP cost for Yuna and Lulu, and things like that, but there is no Pre-Made ultimate armour.

Nope, no ultimate armor. But you can find a few pieces of armor here and there that have decent abilities already built in. You can find Rikku's spiritual targe in the Zanarkand ruins. It causes your MP to restore while you walk. I found it very handy for leveling up.
If you keep your eyes peeled, you can find armor with helpful abilities already built in. ^.^

O'akas brother before you enter Sin sells armour that has 4 slots on them, allowing you to customise them with 4 abilitys of your choice to make whatever you want. I think thats the closest you can get to 'Ultimate Armour'.

You have probably just heard of people talking about ultimate armour that they have customized, with abilities such as, auto-protect, auto-haste, auto pheonix, ribbon, auto potion and def+20% on them.

yeah there's no, i guess you could call it...celestial armour. as previously said you are in control of what you call ultimate armour, as the traits are customized by the player.

Nah, no there is no ultimate armour - if you want I am afraid you will have to customize it yourself.

The best thing to get as moonchild said is the 4 slotted armour that you can completely customise yourself. I think with the armour it's more player preference than anything.....I just wish you came across some 4 slotted armour with a ribbon already on there.......

You do

, the Dark Aeons drop them. Best bet is to save before fighting one and if you dont get 3 slots + ribbon then reload and try again. A good way also is using Dark Yojimbo, fighting him 4 times and if you dont get what you want then reload. This just saves constantly reloading all the time.
