Hidden areas
So, I found the Omega Ruins and some other places.
The Omega Ruins have alot of tough monsters, but some really good treasure. Anyone else bothered with exploring the place? What else is there to be had?

There are two optional super-bosses in the Omega Ruins, Omega Weapon and Ultima Weapon if I recall correctly.
I loved the Omega ruins though, it was a great place to level up <3

For some reason Ultima/Omega W was weaker in ff10 than ff8 . To me that messed up his rep.

Death by malboro ambush.
Protip: First Strike with Tidus or having Auron's masamune equipped(if he knows flee) does wonders for avoiding death by malboro ambush.
Other than that, there aren't any other dungeons or anything. Just places to drop down and get decent weaponry/armour.

It's a great place to level up, yes. Lots of rare steals too.
Malboros are horrible creatures. =(

I loved the Omega Ruins, especially when capturing overloads of monsters for the Calm Lands Arena. It was really good to level up in there, and Malboro Ambushes weren't so hard if you did some good levelling earlier, especially IN the Calm Lands Arena and got Mag Def. Spheres and Str. Spheres...
But Flee+Masamune helped too...

I still don't face Malboro's and I am veryyy experienced on the sphere grid. Only way i'd actually fight him is with the right armour on me. haha.
I remember when I first got that dungeon unlocked the lizards were faster than Tidus and Rikku, I was quite shocked. ;;

The Omega Ruins are great for your pocket book, that's for sure. When you encounter treasure chests, during certain battles, always steal from them. If you're lucky a Mimic will show up. Mimics give you mucho mucho gil, especially if you have gillionaire on one of your people. You usually get around 100,000 gil a pop. That and you can sell alot of the equipment the fiends drop. I've recieved some pieces that I can get 75,000 and up. Of course, I wouldn't sell too much. Some of it has fine fine abilities.

That's wut I wuz gonna say
I'm surprised nobody here has mentioned yet what you can WIN from Omega Weapon: break HP limit armor. I don't think it's all the time though. Also you can win Triple Overdrive weapons from him. I was quite pissed off when I beat him though, because he only gave me a Triple Overdrive weapon and it was for Kimahri ;
So you might want to restart till you get some satisfactory spoils.

Wow. Is there a save point near where you fight him, or do you have to walk through all those encounters all over again?
