I think the guy who made the thread is wondering what would happen if you kill Geosgaeno with the cheats, like if the game would freeze of just go glitchy, not is it possible to kill him with/without cheats.

Storywise it would give you entrance to the Baaj temple, but you can't really do anything there since you haven't visted any temples yet.

You will also loose the dialogue uttered by Tidus and Wakka when they return in the airship.

You get Lulu's Onion Knight (in a chest) after Geosageno is beaten after you return in the airship.

That event can easily disappear if you beat him the first time, and then you'll loose a celestial weapon.

Id be LIVID if i doged all the fecking lightning bolts only for the onion knight not to be there O.O I can safely say I never have, & never will cheat - just for fear of something like that happening

If you use an action replay disc YES you can defeat him in one hit! And you do not have to fight him when you return to the Baaj temple later on. It does not bugger your game but for some reason the Onion Knight dissapears.....

It is impossible to beat without cheating.

Totally impossible without cheating the battle ends automaticcly after 3turns

It's like one of those battles like Saix said that you have to him him so many times or take off so much HP and he just "goes away".

Think about other games that include this method as well: Beatrix in FFIX; Gilgamesh in FFV...

You take off so much, they realize they are low on health, and they live to face you another day.

I don't think so. In the first encounter, every hit he does takes half your health away, and after your third action, he decides you look tasty, and you get a cutscene.
Later, you return after putting a code into the airship, defeat Geosgangeo, and if you got all six secret treasures in the temples, you can get Anima.

I don't know much at all about cheating, but I'm guessing that unless the game was made with a possible sideline (beating Geosgangeo first time), it's pretty much impossible without reprogramming the entire game or something.

Im pretty sure you cant because i could barley beat it later in the game lol... It'lll kill you so quickly with its KO Punch lol...
