The two 5 minute segments didn't seem long enough, especially at the end when I finally had the Jecht Shot ability. It just seemed that after fighting my way through and getting into scoring position, I was luck to even get 2 shots, sometimes 3 within the 5 minutes.
In my opinion, no. the match times at 5 minutes seemed ok, I just wish they where a little longer for more scoring time.

the matches were just right i think
i can score in 32 seconds and iv won against the ronso fangs 17-0

The thing I found annoying is that they arn't actually 5 minute halves. 30 seconds (real time) play in blitzball actually equates to about 20 real seconds which can be frustrating.

Okay. In other words, the clock ticks down in Blitzball faster than real seconds.
Forget the stopping and starting, I mean the actual time we see the seconds ticking down. 2 real seconds would take up 3 Blitzball seconds approx.
Hope that makes sense. Get a stopwatch and see for yourself.

Yea I agree completely with Grimoire I noticed that too but only cause Sinspawn3 told me. Besides if you're far enough into the game to want Wakka's weapon you should be good enough at blitzball to score in 32 seconds.

The time was acceptable but, as you noted, after a handful of matches it gets to be too easy and thus, horrendously boring. What I like to do is find the worst players imaginable...and see if I can still win. I usually do, by about 3 points everytime. :(

they should have given us the option of picking the time length of games. i didn't get wakka's sigil or crest or whatever becuase i played 150 or so games and didn't get it. so frustrating

I think that would have been great, to pick the length of the match. It is a mini game though, and a very good one. A little more thought, a few more teams, and a lot more challenge and it could almost warrent a stand alone game.
