I voted Paine because she is stronger than Yuna when you first start the game but when you get more Dress Spheres and Accessories it's up to you who is the strongest.

Paine was so so hot and cool where as Yuna in X-2 just seemed a bit of a bint, you couldnt believe that the little girl would carry guns.

Yuna in X was so so cute, i thought id fallen in love.

Anyway think Paine is stronger.

I really like Yuna better than paine it look like yuna takes way more power than paine does since i mostly use yuna as a dark knight and paine is alot weaker on the dark knight dress sphere.

Paine gave the game some much needed levity (I'd have found it unbearably perky otherwise), she was the best character in the whole thing.

When it comes to strength, I would say Paine, but as a character overall, definitely Yuna. At first glance, you can tell that Paine can kick some ass - and easily too. When it comes to Yuna, she seems to be innocent, but underneath that facade is a strong individual who will do whatever it takes to achieve her goals.

Paine is stronger and IMO a far better character then Yuna. To me she was the Lulu & Auron the party needed.
