Yuna hands down... her versatility pwns Paine easily...
her personality is also much better, imo, then Paine's
it's pretty obvious i prefer Yuna as ever since FFX she has been my favorite character, and will always be

As much as I hated Yuna's change of character in this game, I much prefered her over Paine. Paine annoyed me to know end and is one of the many reasons I didn't reach the halfway point in this game.
Why couldn't we just have Lulu?

Pain is cooler and I believe stronger but Yuna is kind and the main character.So Yuna.

Yuna mainly because it is her story this time around, and she's searching for a love that she has vanished right infront of her eyes. Yuna's had the experience of battle and these situations before and though Paine is an awesome character, Yuna is still the leading role. I don't know how you can judge a concept such as better, but I'll choose Yuna.

I think Paine probably has the formidable physical strength, however Yuna probably is stronger overall. She has been through a hell of a lot and I believe through her life she has become far more stronger than we have seen. If it boiled down to a fight Yuna would probably defeat Paine
