yeah I like Tie-dus better myself, and thats how I usually read it while playing FFX. I got X-2 like bam when it first came out and I was hoping Tidus was in X-2, shame he wasnt, I liked running around as Tidus on X. I dont see why people say Tidus was a bad main character, I think he was a great main character.

my friends made me pronounce it Ti-dus not Tie-dus even though i thought it was the other way

I say tie-dus and I think it is the best way Inever heard any other way but maybe I don't pay attention

I am kinda not sure what to say I try to say tee-dus when I'm trying to sound smart about the game(s) but when I just read it I say tie-dus it does just sound better... But it's really pronounced Tee-dus because there is no TIE sylable in japanese so... AAAARRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!
