Ok, i will have to say...IM IN COMPLETE AGREEMENT WITH WHITE MAGE.
I just love the jobs system.(and also expermeniting with how each girl looks as a different job). I honestly do., the only thing i didnt like about the jobs...all the weapons they used were from FFX. it would be cool to have different weapons. But all in all, having the ability to change jobs in battle was pretty awsome. And though i used the dark night dressphere...it was pretty much like a God mode thing to me(besides the mascot). As long as you had one alchemist, and mixed up a mega potion every turn. Then a dark night's darkness, Will eliminate everyone.

I admit, the jobs system is pretty cool, but there was just something in my head the whole time I was playing this saying "you shouldn't be liking this" I can't put my finger on it!

Yes, however when it comes to video games, you would naturally expect a "proper" sequel to continue with the same style of gameplay, etc. such as Kingdom Hearts which uses the same battle and level up system.

Almost all other games of a "series" use the same gameplay style too, such as the "...of Mana" Games, Grandia, Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog...

Even Zelda has a specific gameplay & battle style, the only exception being Zelda II which Nintendo must have realised was a mistake, hence returning to the style that we all know and love now.

While the Final Fantasy games have lots of things in common, FFX-2 shouldn't be considered a "proper" sequel to FFX because it doesn't use the same battle/level up system as FFX, only the storyline...

Similar to the films "The Wizard of Oz" and "Return to Oz" - while technically a sequel, it was a completely seperate movie with no real connection to the first one apart from the storyline.

True but i would like to see a different game instead of playing the same one if you understand me.

But the Job system *is* an "old school" characteristic. Just look at Final Fantasies I, III, IV & V...

yes but it has been re-designed and in my opinion it is not up to the standards of the old job classes
