Str+40% (Power Wrist) should be enough to get Squall up to 255 if my calculations are accurate. This ability can be learnt off the GFs Ifrit and Pandemona(only available in Disc 2 unfortunately) after other abilities have been learned.

A quick way of getting the wrist is by refining 10 Str-J Scrolls using the GF ability Abl Med-RF. I've forgotten where you purchase these scrolls from, most likely in Esthar City or in Timber.

Yes 255 is the limit for every character for every stat in the game. Except for hp which can reach 9,999(for the smart alec's viewers and posters of the forum.) Str-J scrolls yea pretty sure they are bought from the pet shop in Timber, though i think you need Thonberry's one ability to make more rare items appear in shops, not entirelly sure. Still youll have it for 2nd disk so your characters shouldnt be that to high of a lvl to make use of them. Also yea the str abilities i believe also found on Bahamut besides Ifrit and Pandinom are also the key str+60% and 40=% juntioned with ultima, flare, meltdown should get yea as close to 255 as possible and possibly pain, but thats a better stat-attk juntion ability.

Yeah, max anything on most stats in this one is 255, but it’s really just a number. Their just as strong as if the number where 999.

255 is the highest you can reach on all the stats except luck and speed

With Streght+60 and +40 you should not have a big trouble reaching 255 in streght also had meteor or another powerful magic to your streght and you will reach 255 withought much trouble personally i would use this strategy on Zell since he as the highest streght and reaches 255 faster.
