Oh and I thought for a minute or two that Squall died. I thought that the party was in his honour. But I was wrong in the end. And I was glad I was wrong. One of the best endings I've seen in video games.

I actually thought that Squall had slipped into a coma that he wouldn't wake up from ever. I guess that the look on Rinoa's face revealed all when she knew that there was hope.

No I wasn't surprised. I knew he lived when Rinoa looked down and smiled at him.

i almost thought he died for like 2 seconds,but then i realized that they wouldn't do that to the main character, and just hoped for the best, then when i saw Rinoa smile, I knew he was okay

Well, my first thought was that Squall did die, and I believed that for a while. You can think what you want, thats why they ended it like that. Though Rinoa could just as easily been smiling at Seifer, due to Squall dieing and them hooking back up again. (Who says shed turn evil because some half boyfriend dies, shes got other options)

But since Ive seen Elfin lied, which ends basically the same, I figured they wouldnt go through the trouble if the character actually had died. Though it makes for a better ending.

Cant say i was surprised really cause altho Rinoa looked pretty sad when she found him lay there she then changed her expression as though he had woken up. Don't think i'd be looking that pleased if the love of my life was dying in my arms. I have to say tho, when the credits were rolling i did hold my breath, thought they may have got stuck in limbo then i was relieved when i saw them on the balcony!!

I see no reason why he should die, and everyone else live, cause they were all together in there, so no i didn't think he died.

At first I thought Squall was long gone, dead. When Balamb Garden flew over Rinoa I thought it was just gonna pick her up and leave. Then at the end of the credit movie, she does her little one finger thing and then I knew he was alive. Sure enough you see him alive in the next scene which is the last scene in the whole game.
