I didn't even think Advetn Children was a good idea. To have these games backed up with movie sequels and prequels is not exactly my cup of tea. All of these games are fine the way they are and their plot lines do not need to be continude in a game or movie format. If you mean a re-make of the game, but in a movie way then I also disagree with that.
The Final Fantasy series has allways been seen as a series of games, not movies and thats why I thought advent children to be a let down in the first place.
I'm sorry, but these ideas people are spouting out would not work, they would make an incredibly lousy sequel. FFVIIAC finished up some loose endings, but they did it poorly. SE make games, not movies, and not movies that suck. Maybe a remake, iunno.

I don't think it's a bad idea , they made one for FFVII why don't they make one for FFVIII.

Like Vayne Solidor said, Square Enix makes games not movies if they want to make a movie they should make it from scratch not a prequel or sequel of another Final Fantasy game.

There's nothing to go on, FFVII had things to be finished off, FFVIII movies/sequels wouldn't really be adding anything significant to the game. You all say it'll be cool, but don't explain why, which doesn't make yourself look good.
