I've been looking around the forum and in all the FF main series game forums most of them are filled up with negative things about the games so I want to start a topic where people only post what they liked about the game so ill see how it goes with FFVIII and i may do a few more.

(No posting things bad about the game.)

With FFVIII i enjoy how it takes a leap out side from the previous entries in the series and is more futuristic. I love the introduction movie how it begins with such peace with the calmness of the beach and when the music begins the scenery changes and before you know your brought to a fantastic battle scene.

Now to the gameplay, on FFVIII you can go onto the worlds map quite early on compared to FFVII which took about 5 hours it only takes about 40 mins probably an hour if you explored the Garden like i did, like other FF games you get to explore more of the world map the more you progress in the story until you get an airship then you can go pretty much all over.

As for the battle its a fast pace Active time battle. I like the new limit system how each character has a different type of controlling syetem,like with Zell you type in buttons and have a time limit, squall you have to hit L1 at a precise time for greater damage, it makes the battles much more exciting. I also like the GF system how you have to wait a while to summon then and if your hit while charging the summon takes the damage for you.

The story is fantastic very deep and the characters really effect the story in a positive way, I love the events which happen in this game like the events in deling city or the Garden battle, the game has a brilliant atmosphere which the characters help to build through rivalries and emotions if the game didn’t have them moments like when squall saving riona in space or the end of disc 3 just wouldn’t be effective otherwise.

As for the characters, I Found them al very different and interesting though out of the main characters its clear that Squall and Rinoa stand out by far but its good because a lot of the story revolves around there relationship especially later on. but apart from your cast of character for the main game you also control another 3 members being Kiros Laguna and Ward also there are other character appearances who will join your team for a special event in the story.

Last i want to mention the Art of the game its fantastic, I love how the artist has designed the towns, the buildings are futuristic but very modern too for example Dollet the cites design is a very clean neat city which is modern to contrast with the futuristic city. I also love the design of the characters there clothing and style also i find the GF and bosses designs brilliant, Ifirt looks fantastic and the last boss battles have such look of mystery especially the final part.

the things I loved with FFVIII was, the storyline, character, scenery, score, minigames (the card game song ), fighting, GF, JUnction system!!!!!, weapons, ZELL !!!!!! FTW
This game is in my top three FF games list. ranked 2nd

Well i really enjoyed the field exam in Dollet the music and running along the town fighting the galbadian soldiers was great!
I also enjoyed the Garden confrontations since you return from the D-District prison.

My favorite characters were: Zell, Selphie, Irvine, Fugin, Ragin, Laguna and Kiros.

I really enjoyed triple triad because the cards were actually useful and i just wanted more and more of them

So those are the biggest good points about this game to my eyes!
