FFVIII - Drawing
Now I know this part of the game sucks, and takes ages.
BUT!
Did anyone else experience that on disk 1, two of your characters would draw 7-9ish and one of them would draw like 3 or 1 and therefore it'd take even longer to draw. Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this, or and reason why/solutions.

Hahaha funnily enough yes I did, once my other 2 had maxed out I'd just swap my magic about so they all had the same so all 3 could keep drawing to make it a little quicker

Yeah but that sucks! Like in the laguana sections, one person (usually Kiros) would take ages to draw, so you'd kill the monsters, mess around changing magics, find that spell again from a monster to draw, and then no doubt run into some other new spell along the way! grrr!

Yea, it was quite annoying at first but then I just gave him magic from the other characters who have quite enough because they draw a lot O_O. After that it wasn't a big deal really.

Ummm there isn't really a solution... It's just random. The only way to get fast magic is fight monsters and refine the items you gain from them.
I don't usually draw max. I just draw enough that I'll use these spells later on. The only magic I draw max is curaga. I mostly use melt-down, aura, full-life, and blind sometimes. Also the elemental magic in this game is weak anyways.

Ooh, nice info, Contra. Didn't know that. I actually thought they were just random too and didn't really notice the amount of spells drawn. Or perhaps I did at the time when I played the game, but it's been such a long time now. It's no big deal to me though. I always made sure that my characters' spells were closely evened out so that all three of them could draw at the same time and drawing would be a breeze then.
