HELL NO! Final Fantasy 8 is easily the most disputed game of the series. You either love it or you hate it. There is NO WAY this should ever be remade. They should buy back all the original copies and burn them... but that's about the only thing they should do with anything FFVIII related. The game was horrible. I think you should be dragged into a dark street and beaten to death with a wet noodle if you even remotely thought this game was worth one playthrough, yet alone the time and effort to have it remade.

- Voice Acting. (English voice acting as used in XII)
- A complete overhaul of the graphics (don't just port the game over for the newer hardware)

I wouldn't want to them to change anything on the story either, but instead just add more to it and go more in depth in things. Definately no deleting though...
and wow...I would love some voice overs. |

I hope they give Squall a lisp... lol I do like voiceacting in game... but I hope they don't try and make Squall cool when it's so obvious he's such a limp-wristed pansie. Ugh... that'd tick me off so bad if they tried to make him into a Steven Segal when he's more of a Richard Simmons wannabe.

Lol, I picture Squall having just a emotionless flat voice...especially on his "Whatever..." lines. Heheh.
But Seifer, he gets an awesome voice, like a Hugh Jackman voice.

Aside from the overhauled graphics, the voice overs would be one of the single most important things on my list. I think it would be cool to hear a voice placed with my favorite VIII characters, but then again, it could be bad depending on who does the voice acting Lol...
Anyway, like I said above. If they use true English acting voice overs as they did in XII, all will be good.
But I agree with Bei Bei, we'll see a FFVII remake well before an VIII. That's if we'll see one at all... I really hope we see both *crosses fingers*

This game isn't popular enough the be remade. Hell, they haven't even remade VII yet!
So I doubt it will ever happen, and personally I don't want them too. They'll probably feel the need to change things and add pointless as I am afraid they will do with a VII remake.

Uhh... Not really sure it should be made. Hell I love FFVIII, but there is nothing left to the story (unlike FFVII). Though I think a game based on the Gardens would totally kick ass -- maybe a MMPORGP (sp?) will be good? Nah... That's too much. But a game based on it will be kewl.
