Final Fantasy VIIIThe first game in the series to consistently use realistically proportioned characters, FF8 also threw more of a futuristic mix into the old (Hi-)potion that is Final Fantasy.

I think I would have to say the Playstation version, I have never played Final Fantasy VIII on the computer but I don't think I would really want to either. It would probably have better graphics and such but I don't think I would be too keen on using the keyboard to control my characters. I like the PS remote, it makes everything a lot easier!

I would get the psx version. It worked well for me and it is much easier to find than a psx version. I don't think that I would really like playing a game like Final Fantasy VIII on the computer. Using the keyboard would be kind of strange.

The PC version is better quality, I hear. You can enhance the graphics and there's no question - the FMV quality is much sharper. Also, if you intend to make music videos from the clips, get the PC version. They're both easier to rip and better quality by far. The PSX versions FMVs are way more pixelly.
In terms of gameplay and story, they're exactly the same of course.
It depends on how you feel about controls too. I hate controlling characters on the PC...

Both versions are good, I should know cuz I own both the PC and PS1 versions of this game.
Though if I had to choose one I would say the PS1 version simply cuz I find it more comfortable to play hooking up my console to a tv rather than looking at a monitor.

PSX. I found Omega Weapon and the levels down to Ultima Weapon much too challenging on a keyboard as I always prefer to play in active mode for the realism.
Also, it just seems to fit the console better than any of the other PSX FF's. Maybe it is because I played it through a lot on the PSX and only once on PC.

well 1 advantage of having it on PC is that you get the chocobo game with it, i forget what its called. If you have it on psx you'd need the little ps handheld thing (i forget what its called).

i wouldnt think there would be much difference in the graphics
i would think tht ps1 would be better cause the ps1 was made for games the pc might not be able to keep up with the graphics dependin on ur pc
