i wasn't sad because other then killing random enemies odin had no real effect on the game itself, where gilgamesh can show up and give you a quick edge on a boss or something. sure gilgamesh may not always make his appearance worthwhile, he's still cooler to see just cause we hadn't seen him in a final fantasy in so long.

I was'nt sad when Odin was sliced in two, more shocked than anything else then when Gilgamesh showed up I was excited cause he had'nt been in a Final Fantasy for like ever. He is so much cooler than Odin even if his attacks don't hit half the time.

It was pretty lame I thought because Odin was awesome! How dare Seifer just kill him like that. He was a very handy character whenever he showed up during a battle. After he was killed, we got Gilgamesh and he is pretty pathetic most of the time so it's a shame. He can do a few attacks instead of just one and I think most of them aren't very good anyway! Odin should have stayed!
