| Final Fantasy VIII The first game in the series to consistently use realistically proportioned characters, FF8 also threw more of a futuristic mix into the old (Hi-)potion that is Final Fantasy. |

Heh, not saving after stocking 100 of a spell... for shame, Bam!
FF8 was my first FF, so I really didn't mind stocking magic, because the first time through I thought it was a norm. Still, it was a rather laborious method to get your characters at a decent point, but I normally daydreamed while doing it to keep myself occupied. I also muted the TV so I didn't have to hear that annoying 'draw' sound. xD
Even when the GFs learned their abilities, I still drew 100 of everything. I always hated it when your favorite party member only drew like, 2 of the spell you reaaaaaaaaaally wanted for them. That's the only part that tempted me go to bonkers. I thought it was a good idea overall, but Squaresoft should have made it less... time consuming? I don't know.
I spent most of my time playing Triple Triad, anyway.

It was actually after stocking 300 in a Laguna dream lol, I was just heading for the save point which I could see on the horizon and totally got ambushed. I was fucking fuming. I hate those dream sequences at the best of times.
It felt like twice the blow to not only have to do it all again (bloody lunatic pandora) but have to stock all that magic again. GRR

Heh, I can't even remember the latter half of the game. I remember disliking dream sequences from the get go especially when you had to reorganize magic and GFs and who they were equipped to. It was good for stocking up on some new magic, though, if I remember correctly.

Yeah there was some pretty good magic you could pilfer from the dreams. I despised having to reorganise all my GF's and rejunction all my magic aswel. I was just like *sigh* here we go again. Worse still, you go to junction your magic and find out either Kiros or Ward - or worse still BOTH didn't even have any magic in their inventories and you go into battle doing next to no damage

Haha, I did that last part a few times too. Forgetting to junction your stuffs is a pain in the arse, especially when you're in a hurry.

I never really bothered with rejunctioning in the dreams, that way when I got out of them, it'd all be back the way I had it. I did always draw a lot of magic in them, though. The Gespers and Elastoids, oh my!

I pretty much never used magic, so...once I stocked up on it, I junctioned it to my party's statistics and left it alone. The only spells that I used were curative or support spells...and I only used those spells against bosses.

I always stocked every party member to 100 on every spell. Yeah, it was pretty time consuming. However, whenever I got the next level spells (Cura, Curaga, etc.), I could use the lower-level spells in substitution of potions and all that, which was really handy seeing as how ALL of the party members had those lower-level spells. It was like having 600 hi-potions in stock.
