| Final Fantasy VIII The first game in the series to consistently use realistically proportioned characters, FF8 also threw more of a futuristic mix into the old (Hi-)potion that is Final Fantasy. |

XD Disc three is a horrible place to pick up on ANY game.
I can't explain it all on my own. So here are some quick quotes from wikipedia:
Quote:
|
The Crystal Pillar, an artifact from the moon, produces an energy field between the planet and the moon, which triggers the Lunar Cry at "Tear's Point", an area near Esthar.Upon this discovery, the scientists of Esthar created the "Lunatic Pandora", a vehicular enclosure for the crystal, built to artificially start the Lunar Cry.

|
While Rinoa is being treated on Esthar's space station, Ultimecia uses her to free Sorceress Adel from her orbital prison. Ultimecia then orders Seifer to activate Esthar's Lunatic Pandora facility, inciting a rain of monsters from the moon that sends Adel's containment device to the planet's surface.
|
As Lunatic Pandora is released, it makes it's way across the Esthar continent and towards Tear's Point. Meaning...it has to cross over the city of Esthar in the process. It's your job to beat the clock and JUMP onto the moving box before it passes over the city. =S

Rofl. Either way you get kicked off and end up in the same place as if you didn't get on it.
Lunatic Pandora is where they send Adel into after she is released from her seal.

What’s going on? Seifer & Company pretty much raised the Lunatic Pandora from the seabed (under Ultimecia’s influence), which it’s now on its way to Tears Point (the location from where the Lunar Cry takes place). Anyway, in order for it to get there, it has to fly over Esthar creating all kinds of havoc and mayhem (the reason for everyone running around panicked and crazy).
You pretty much have to find Doc Odine (in his lab, I think) and go over the plan on where to get inside it as well as a brief explanation about the Lunatic Pandora and what’s going on, but I’m sure you’ve gotten past this point already.

If I recall correctly, the game doesn't actually end if you fail the mission. XD
You should have a little map in the upper right corner of your screen (try pressing select or square to make it pop up) that shows a PICTURE of the place you need to run to. If you don't know your way around Esthar, you'll wind up getting lost and your time will run out and you'll miss the docking points.

It was the setting of one of Laguna's Dream World - the second, I believe.

That it was, but at the time it was un-excavated. The order in which you destroy the boulders unlocks something, but I can't remember what or what the proper order is.
It doesn't matter if you fail the mission the first time, I think all you get is that nice feeling that you didn't fail.

You're right. If this mission is failed you get the same outcome either way. =/.
I got lost in Esthar myself. So, yeah. haha.

I read up a little bit on gamefaqs.
Apparently, if you fail the mission, you just miss out on a bunch of minuscule items (like the Luvlug G, pheonix pinion, combat king 005, plus a few meteor, ultima, and holy draw points.).
