| Final Fantasy VIII The first game in the series to consistently use realistically proportioned characters, FF8 also threw more of a futuristic mix into the old (Hi-)potion that is Final Fantasy. |

Just Started Playing FF8
Yeah, just what the title says lol its the christmas break and ive got nothing to do so im finally going to give FF8 a fair chance and Force myself to play through it. Im on the train to timber thing and i think im about to meet up with Rinoa?? Any suggestions to help me with this game like which characters i should use?? (I was thinking of using Squall Rinoa and Zell) Still completely puzzled by the junction system and the GF system. Im currently level 11 and the GFs i have are Ifrit, Shiva, Siren and Quezacotl. I really want to give this game a shot - as ive always hated it but i want to complete it so i can have a propar opinion on it lol so any help and advice would be appreciated

I have always loved the junction system because if you use it correctly, you could be this game hands down flat. Make sure you always stock up on the good magic and have high level magic to junction to your stats. That's how you basically use the junction system.
Another thing I just remember, you can only have a certain amount of magic at any time so make sure you choose carefully.
After thinking about it, I like every FF game I played thus far. Each one is its own world with its own story. Some story may be more appealing to others than some but I like them all though I prefer others over some. The only problem is that they all share the same name: Final Fantasy. Would you rather have 12 rehashed Final Fantasys or 12 completely, separate and unique Final Fantasys?

My suggestions are that you dont use magic ever, since you junction magic, if you use it, your lowering your stats down. Have 1 healer at all times, use junctioning to it's full power, increase squall's attack to 255 when u can, get all the summon, and train alot on hell and heaven islands when u can, awesome EXP there, but all monsters are lvl 100, so equip something powerful on death attack and you kill them in one hit
Hop this helps

Right i have gotten Diablos and im in Deling city, i think ive got the hang of the junctioning system well at least enough to survive lol and now im stuck on the following things :
Who should i be using in my party?
Which GFs should i have?? (theres a space between Siren And diablos)
How do i upgrade my weapons??
Any help would be greatly appreciated I really want to play this game as its giving me something to do - its either FF8 or my english essay on Great Expectations - FF8 is winning so far lol
Since Playing FF8 again and getting Unstuck my opinion of it has increased a lot - It hasnt "Wowed" me yet like VII And X but it has been betrter than 1,2,5, and 6 so far.....IX is still ahead Of VIII....Just lol
And whats the deal with the sorcceress?? am i meant to like already know about her as im totally confuzzled :(

I recommend using Squall for his later limit, Lionhart, Zell, his limit break can do so much damage later on!
And the space between Diablos and Siren would be Brothers I beilieve, you should get it near the end of disc 1 when you go to Temple of the Unknown King. PM me if you need to know how to get him, it's a bit tricky...
You should also have Quazacotl, Shiva, Ifrit, Siren, Diablos (if you got and used the lamp), Brothers and Carbuncle.
You can upgrade your weapons at the weapon upgrade shop, Im sure theres one at Timber (or whatever that town was called)
Youll get to know more about the sorceress later on, it might seem confusing at first, but thats what makes it a great storlyine!
PM me if you need anything else

You dont need the magazine to upgrade weapons, I think it lets you unlock the upgrade or just tells you about it...
And the temple of the unknown king is east of Deling City, or just look at this map

I think you have to go to the Temple in order to proceed with the game anyways. Don't you have to give a student ID number that's written on something near the entrance?
My major advice is to draw as often as possible. Everytime you encounter a new enemy or boss, check what you can draw from them.

Yes, you do have to go to the temple anyways, but getting Brothers is optional, plus | | | |
