Okay I was replaying this game this morning before I got bored and I swear, I saw Selphie in Squall's class. But then she comes jogging in afterwards and says she's late! I don't see the thery. If you wanna look for this just look at the part where Quistis is scolding Seifer for injuring his partner and she sits next to one of the Trepies!

Also, why is Quistis not waering glasses anymore. She wore glasses in the beginning. Now all of a sudden she got perfect vision for the rest of the game! Hmmm I'mma keep playin and see what else I can find...

The glasses probably weren't helping her, rather adding to her teacher attitude. Since she wasn't a teacher anymore, she probably gave it up.

And maybe that "Selphie" you saw, was just a look alike in the trepies. Some of them seem to look like Selphie quite a lot

Yeah I've noticed that before as well when I see those look-alikes that have the same hair stylish type thing as Selphie I think that's- no it can't be Selphie. It would be better IMO if they had a little more ranged of hairstyles though just so you can tell the difference and it's more clear.
For the glasses thing maybe its for reading? Idk XD

Still can't be her, as the real Selphie didn't show up untill the SeeD test in dollet, although that may be her and she just didn't come out until that mission

Selphie bumps into you in the hall just as this class is over...The real Selphie was at the school from the begining which makes me think that maybe she was talking about another class she was late for in the begining of the game

You were right, Oli, although that still doesn't prove to me that that girl was Selphie

Why couldn't the game just let you talk to that girl

I don't think it's Selphie. But at the same time, who knows? Either it isn't Selphie and it's just a Trepie or it is her and it's a mistake on the Game Developers part.

Personally, I really don't think that it is her. It wouldn't make sense to show her there. I think I'm going to have to replay FFVIII sometime soon now, though... just to be sure.

You ain't half got me curious.

I agree she does look like Selphie. She has a twin XD But yeah, couldnt really be her. And as for the glasses, I guess they were for reading and ebing in class. I have glasses I just use for working, reading, watching TV and play games. So I dont always wear them. Plus they could break in battle XD

I've noticed this Selphie looking gal in the classroom as well. The reason it can't be her is because right after leaving the classroom, she runs into Squall then says she missed homeroom. And if I do recall correctly, the 2 female Trepies don't look like Selphie. So I'd say it's just a random girl.

BUT, as stated, it could have been a developmental mistake. Maybe when they initially wrote the storyline, they had Selphie in that classroom. Then later on figured they could create a facility tutorial but adding a "can you give me a tour of this place because I'm new here?" to give a virtual tour of the Garden, and forgot to remove Selphie from the classroom.

We'll need to get Square on the phone to settle this. I want in on this conference call as well.
