| Final Fantasy VIII The first game in the series to consistently use realistically proportioned characters, FF8 also threw more of a futuristic mix into the old (Hi-)potion that is Final Fantasy. |

favorite "mission"
what was your favorite mission or whatever that you were given in this game? mine was probably the "assasination" of sorceress edea. i dont remember doing anything like that in a final fantasy and i thought it was a cool idea and fun to do.

The assassination was a big disappointment to me.
I mean, I knew if the sorceress was killed, the story wouldn't progress the way that it did, but I'm talking about how Irvine basically wussed out on the mission. I had different expectations of him.
The only mission I truly liked was the first mission, when you storm Dollet, quite the suspenseful moment there.
Great cinematics too. Felt like a real warzone.

The Sorceress Assassination mission was my favorite.
Aside from Esthar, Deling City was one of my favorite cities in FFVIII. Sure the assassination mission got a little boring at times, but I always loved how the setting of the city was at night with a hint of twilight on the horizon. All of the FMV's where excellent and the music was superb.
My least favorite mission would be the first official mission after graduation, the Timber Owl's mission.

Regardless of which mission you were sent on, the party would find some way or another to stray from their orders. God this game was annoying in that sense.
My favorite mission was to destroy ultimecia, but Squall ruined it for me by running off to rescue Rinoa from the sorceress' memorial (which he'd sent her to only seconds earlier).

Mine was to assasante the Sorceress Edea. It was a nice little mission that we had going on. =D
I hated how Irvine punked out. That was really whimpy.

Lol. Irvine like ruined the whole thing when he had his panic attack. XD I think it's funny that he acts like a ladies man and then wussies out on his mission.
That mission had the best FMVs though...

It was also the most beautiful city in my opinion.
Oh, it made me laugh when he could not shoot Edea. He was acting all tough when he first came and flirted with Selphie. How lame.

Hmm...let's see...
my second favorite mission would be...the lunar mission. I really loved going into space.
Even though you had to save Rinoa...yet again. <__<
