Zack's parents

i was playing through FFVII again, and i got up to the part where you get the titain materia, at that blown up reactor, and went into the house, and saw a couple there, asking cloud about their son Zack... i only just realised that his parents lived there, so i put Aerith and Tifa in my party

Did anyone else remember this?

Yup me. But they don't take even the slightiest part of story in Cloud's memory.

Yeah I remember them. I wish that they played a little bigger part in the story. You'd think that Cloud meeting Zack's parents while wearing Zack's persona would trigger something big inside him

I was somewhat hoping for... more, when I came across them. To only part with a few words and leaving it at that strikes me as off.

Ah, well. Not a huge loss, but it would have been nice for them to find out about Zack. Probably for the morbid factor on my behalf. :p

i was more or less hoping that when Cloud got his memory back, he would go back there and talk to his parents... but that didn't happen did it?

If im not mistaken isnt there also a scene that follows about Sephiroth and Zack at the same time (while cloud was the unknown soldier in the scene?) Yeah its a scene that goes on for about 5 mins but if you didnt enter that house for some reason you never found out the connection of the 3 of them....I just found it rather funny that Aeris never put 2 and 2 together with Zack and Cloud.

There was a scene you could get in the mansion I think. Anyways I do remember that part at the village. Think it was Gongogo Village.

Aeris: "That's all right. It's all in the past now. I was just worried because I heard he's been missing."

Aeris: "I think it was 5 years ago. He went out on a job, and never came back. He loved women, a real ladies' man. He probably found someone else...Hey? What's wrong?"

R1: "I don't really mind that I haven't heard from him. But I feel for his parents. Let's go, Cloud."

R2: "Are you...jealous? Hmm? Hmmm? Are you, Cloud? I'm kidding. I'm sorry. Let's go, Cloud."

Yeah, one'd think the parents would immediately suspect something fishy with Cloud's mannerisms or demeanor, since he basically riffed 'em from Zack... But, I guess that wasn't the time to reveal any big plot spoilers since it would minimize the 'damage' of the ones told later. You'd be surprised how many people miss the scene!
