i started playing the game for the 5th time and it got me after the first little sequence when the train stops at the station and the battles begin. i just loved it

Um, the game had me from the opening battle. I know that's not a very interesting answer, but it's true. I was really excited about this game. It was my first game for the PSX, too.

The very start of it. The whole Midgar mission, to meeting Aerith, to the train station, and so on and so on. And of course the battle. That was the first time I've played anything like that. I didn't know what the heck to do, of course, but it naturally came to me. Thus, the birth of RPG for me...
