What Stops You

from playing this game on loop? I love this game. I guess a big part of it is that when you beat it there's a big sense of accomplishment, especially if you go all the way and defeat both Ruby and Emerald weapons. But for me, soon after I'm done, that itch creeps back up in me. I feel like playing as Cloud Strife again. I feel like I need to hear that story one more time. For me it's not like I forget the details of the game, it's just that I like playing it like I like looking at great artworks. But it's not just as easy as viewing a painting, you actually have to log 70+ hours. So is that what stops you from playing it over and over again?

For me, honestly, a big part of it is the graphics. Again, it's like a beautiful painting that speaks worlds to me. Unfortunately, this painting that means so much to me looks like it was drawn by an autistic child. I guess that's part of why I want the remake so badly.

Well the fact i've played it so many times, and the lack of time i have i RL to replay it as much as i'd like. Recently with the summer i've been able to start my 7th file and im having a blast.

however during the school year, with exams, coursework and a social life, weekends and those Rare Rare afternoons where i don't have any homework are the only time i can spend on games - which is what puts me off replaying FFVII again and again and again

While graphics are a big down side to this game, being such an awkward transition from sprites to realism, my biggest annoyance would be the translation.

That'd be my personal reason to get the remake. Except the fact that in retranslating, there'd probably be a fair share of rewriting and "reinterpreting" scenes, as was done in Last Order. Bleh.

Why, nothing stops me from re-playing FFVII, much less other games.

I love replaying this game no matter what my schedule is, and besides, since my cable privileges have been revoked, there's really not much else to do but drop by the forums, or play the game.

Why do I replay it? Simple. It's a great game. It has a great plot, it has great characters, it has a great theme. Every part of this game is beautiful in every way and it's already spawned countless debates everywhere. (LTD anyone? )

What stops me? I've played it so many times. That's what stops me.I loved it so much the first time I started repeating it over and over until...I got a sign.On the EPSXE emulator,it kept erasing my save on slot 1.SO! I've decided to wait for a couple of months (or years) before playing it again.Another reason is because I need to catch up with FF so I need to stop repeating VII and play the ones I haven't beaten or played.

I've played and completed it around seven times. The 70+ hours needed to do everything stops me. I have alot of games and find that I rarely replay games the way I used to.

Maybe in a couple of years I will have another bash at it.

Possibly Midgar, not because I dislike it - I love it - but I guess like any game, its that first few hours that makes or breaks a replay, so depending on Midgar is whether I continue through. I've played it many times, but its one of the few games which always screams for more. Just social life/work/commitments prevent me from being so indulgent by playing it again.

The thing that stops me from replaying it is that my brother took the game to college, If I ask he'll let me borrow it for a month or 2 but since I've beaten the game around 4 times I think he'll stop letting me.

I would buy a copy but they are around 50 Dollars online.

Three things:

1. I played it and finished it ...; and donne everything in it part from beaten Ruby (could not be bothered anymore), and that I can do anytime I like....without going through the entire game again

2. There are to many games out there that I wanna play and haven't played yet, therefore, why waste my free time (and I do not have much free time) on a game I have already finished. I do not have a habbit of replaying games I played...

3. actually there is no three...that is it, plain and simple: played it, finished it -> moving on onto something else

Well, I've finished it a few times, got everything (including a master materia for each one) and beat both Ruby and Emerald. Only reason I don't play it anymore is because there are other great games out there that I've yet to play/finish. Could ask the same question about Mario Bros. Sure, it had a HUGE influence on games but after a while, other, better games come along. It still has a place in our hearts but it's essentially the same thing. Why play something you KNOW what'll happen so many times? It'll lose it's charm on you after a while.
