I found it sad, but not too bad. I never really used her much and for some reason, I guess because I used Tifa more, Aeris didn't play a huge role in the game for me. I know with the ending and all that she played a huge role, but I never really saw much of her emotions in the game while she was alive because Tifa was usually the one speaking. That one part where you're spending the night at the Golden Saucer and apparently if you've "treated Aeris nicely" she'll be the one to go on the free couples night with you. I used Tifa more so I only saw her trying to say she loved Cloud. I just beat the game two hours ago so I know I'm repeating what you all know, but to answer the question, it was sad, but not as bad as it could have been because the game didn't show me the relationship between Cloud and Aeris growing.

Well, I only was upset, then angry, I didn't wanted her to die, but anyways, I couldn't do anything. I used her a lot in the game  using magic and her limits. I remember I even got her last limit xD haha, and I even tried her to get to a good level. People found her useless, but why didn't you used magic if she wasn't good attacking? >>U
