weak tifa and UBER AWESOME barret :S:S
Hi im on disk 2 and just killed the 2 headed dragon boss (schizo?) and my party is tifa barret and cloud.


For some reason my barrets materia rises like 25% more than the other 2!

For example..

My tifa uses 'cure 2 all' constantly and my barret also has cure 2 and never uses it....

SO WHY IS BARRET 300XP AWAY FROM CURE 3 YET MY TIFA HAS LIKE 3000 LEFT TO GO?!?!

glitch maybe? Or wierd leveling system lol

Also my tifas limit break is level 1 :S even though i use her limit break loads clouds is level 2 (nearly 3) and barrets is level 3 *stratches head*

one of the best games i ever played btw

this is probably because of either how much materia is equipped to barret in comparison to tifa and their strength and also how many enemies barret defeats compared to tifa

The weapon or armour Barret has on may have Double Growth on it causing the materia to grow faster.

In order to unlock tifas level 2 limit breaks she has to deafeat 80 enemies

It's to do with the growth rate of either the weapon or armour it's equipped to. It has nothing to do with how much you use it.

whats it to do with? my barrets eqiupment is normal growth rate btw

also tiffa beat 80 enemies....with the limit break? or normally?

because my tifa mainly is the 'cure-er' for the group....so i guess that would kinda make sense :\

edit: finally water kick!!!

although the leveling materia thing is still confusing me :\ how do you increase materia xp?

use less materia per character so it does not fraction the xp by so much

That doesn't change anything. All equipped materia gets the amount of AP stated at the end of a battle.

I am sure that it is fractioned depending on how much materia you have, are you sure that is correct?
