I got hold of Final Fantasy VII by sheer coincidence.
My mom's friend just happened to be giving away a crapload of PS games away since his broke.
And so my uncle brought it home and I singled VII because it had the coolest cover I had ever seen, plus my PS was quite brand new at the time.

Me? I was too young to really grasp it. A friend of the family had it for his PS I was over their house almost all the time. He was about four years older than me, and completely unrelated. Of course, from the first moment my wee hands grasped a controller pad, I was hooked. FF VII was my first FF, as it was for many. I didn't understand the plot too well, and the character development was entirely lost on me. But I thought it was cool. I continued to play and replay as I got older, understanding more and more and more. And loving it even more as a result.
Nanaki was the first character I think I ever saw and though Damn, he's cool. I played Ocarina of Time shortly afterwards, but that's a different tangent altogether.

Ah... I was about 4 years old when the game came out. I remember hearing my bro (Who was 10 at the time) play the game day and night. I used to watch him battle.
I asked my mom if I could play it, but she said I was too young to understand it.
8 years later, my bro and I were board one day, and we wanted to play a video game because there wasn't anything left to play, or so I thought. My bro took out his FFVII CD and told me "You'll never be a real gamer if you've never played FFVII". So that's when I got into it.

Hmmm I don't know whether to look at it as fate or not.
I mean...I do spend my entire life on an FF forum...
Good fate? Bad fate?
