this has been bugging the crap outta me, but can vincent's claw come off?

His "claw" is only a gauntlet, so yes, it can be removed. Considering it's a piece of armour however, he had no need to remove it - seeing as he was constantly in some confrontation or other.

oh really? but what about the theories about his claw being permanently attached to his arm?

Like Saix said, its a piece or armour and can be removed.

Hrmm...I liked his claw, and yes, it was removable.

I just think Vincent was too attatched to it and didn't want to take it off. It was like apart of him. Plus, there was no need to take it off. *shrugs*

To be quite honest I cant remember anything in the FFVII universe that says it is a piece of armour (If there is, please give evidence). However Vincent never wore it when he was a Turk but did after he was experimented on, therefore the theory that it is permantely attached is a valid one.

I don't know whether to call this a ridiculous assumption, or utter bullshit. Just because his body was experimented on, doesn't make it plausable that Hojo randomly decided to weld pieces of metal to his body.

Armor is armor. Besides, since there is a glove beneath it, we can assume that it can be removed.

I think it was one of those things that was considered a trademark. The cloak, the gauntlet, the long hair, etc. Just a few of the things that adds on to his character. Since it fits him, he does not need to remove them.

Its just a piece of armour probably used as a secondary weapon, meaning that if Vincent missed his targets with his handgun then he could deliver a clothesline to knock them down or something like that...
