Little harsh? It is neither a ridiculos assumption or any kind of shit but a good point. Hes right, nowhere in the game does anything go into any detail about what hojo did to Vincent. Why would vincent randomly start wearing some kind of full arm peice of metal?? More so where did he get it? He was experimented on in the basement of the ShinRa mansion, and that is where you find him so who is to say that he left there in between? I think it is not only possible but probable that the claw or whatever is attached and not removable, wether it be a peice of armor or some kind of bionic arm besides the only armor really spoke of in the game is bangles, wrist armor and such not an arm sheath or whatever that thing is supposed to be, and you equip all the armor spoke of, some of the other characters do have armor that was strictly for looks but that really doesnt match up with vincents whole deal ya know? It makes sense to me and momma didnt raise no damn fool

Because it makes so much more sense to stuff demons inside of him. Please.

I like the notion of it being attached to him. It heightens the idea of Vincent being supernatural as well as adding to his own internal conflicts about his humanity.

Here are the possibilities as I see it:

a) It's a gauntlet that is attached to Vincent as a replacement for an arm and is controlled using some kind of biomechanical tomfoolery.

b) Vincent has a normal arm underneath the gauntlet, but the gauntlet is somehow permanently embedded into him.

c) It's detachable and Vincent has a perfectly good arm underneath.

d) It's detachable, but Vincent has an afflicted arm underneath.

e) It's detachable, but Vincent has no arm underneath, and it serves as a functional prosthetic.

Meh, I always saw it as a detachable piece of armor and nothing more, but I can see where some may believe it’s a permanent item or... prosthesis.

Yes, it can be removed. I don't think he was born with it, that's for sure........

I think people get the idea it was prosthesis not just from the whole 'experimentation' scenario with Hojo, but also just cause of the way it looked in VII compared to the rest of the compilation.

In VII, it looks like it's attached to his arm/prosthesis/etc....you can see no glove or anything underneath, it is that gold/brass metal all the way around. Starting with AC though, you can clearly see, as others have said, that there's a glove underneath it, and no longer goes all the way around his arm.

Exactly. Fanfiction is exactly that, fiction. People will go with whatever theory they prefer if it fits in with their story, and they can do that, cause it's fiction after all.

Are you some kind of nugget? I am not saying it is attached to his arm but saying that it is a possibility. To assume that it is just a gauntlet without supplying any evidence, is pretty pathetic to say the least.
