The Omnislash

Which Omnislash do you think is better? The on in FF7 or the one in Advent Children.

I think the one in AC looks real cool, but the one in FF7 looks like it hits harder (and more times). So my pick is the Omnislash from FF7.

Oh? Considering Sephiroth's remaining stamina during the final stage of their fight (assuming he wasn't tolled, like he expressed), AC's Omnislash seemed far more devastating. Granted, you can use Omnislash to the same effect in FF7 at the end of the game (mmm, spoilers), but I still stand by the Omnislash in AC being stronger.

More visually impressive too.

I liked the original omnislash a lot more. It was Cloud just going absolutely crazy on his enemy. His back and forth stance stops, he hardens his position, the fucking bright red glow around him, then it just explodes in a white whirlwind, holds his sword above his head, starts to glow and beam, the camera slowly pans over to your victim, and then you just see Cloud go goddamn apeshit on him... and after he's done slashing and stabbing, one last final blow. Cloud jumps waaaay above his victim, throws his sword way behind his head, sword glows even brighter, and then drops down on his foe for one last destructive blow. God I love that move!

I like the original omnislash as well, but it also states in Maiden Who Travels the Planet that the original is Zack's technique.

So I really much prefer Omni in the Advent Children movie. I feel that this one was more of Cloud's own technique and I personally loved the devastating attack it put forth during that scene. Using all of those swords was just wicked cool.

Well i would say that i like the AC version, basically because it looked more like an ultimate attack then the original, the orginal was just a series of attacks, so i just thought that the AC version looked more like a utlimate and final attack

Definantly FF7's spiffy original Omnislash hits like crazy heck kicking butt loads! The one in AC, in my opinion, shouldnt even have been there in the first place. Should have kept the original.

Saix, you can use Omni Slash in other places beside Sephiroth. All you have to do is earn it in the battle square, at the secret battle. After that you can use as much as you want, and still do as much damage :peace:

I really liked both. The one in the game was longer and seemed to put down the bith-slapping very nicely. But the one in AC had all those swords, which was also very cool. If the two were combined that would be the ultimate!

But for me it's a tie.
