And see, that's what's so damn stupid about the whole thing. They're making a ton of new fans and yet....you can't even go to the damn store and buy VII. It's not in production. You have to go to eBay or something and pay out the ass for a copy, and SE doesn't even profit from that. Honestly I think by them releasing that tech demo of a remade VII, they just pissed people off. They should have just remade the goddamn game, it would have sold millions and everyone would have been happy.

wow are you stupid??? The complilation doesnt HAVE to end on a NEW FFVII game... it could end on anything, even another movie. It's completely up to Square Enix, but it's likely they'll remake FFVII to put an end to the compilation by giving everyone what they want. |

I never said that the series had to end with a game. I just said that a remake of Final Fantasy VII was impossible to mark the end of the compilation with, assuming that we were talking about the story. But clearly, your point of discussion lies elsewhere.
As for the subject of the remake of Final Fantasy VII... the interview Hajime Tabata, the director of Crisis Core gives enough information to tell that they'd be stuck with how to make it an appealing game all over again.
Final Fantasy VII was a great game, but watching the ATB gauge is about as entertaining as clipping your toenails. That being said, they probably don't have enough faith/confidence in the sales of a remake of Final Fantasy VII.
