Reno' Tattoo's
I would just like some clarification on how exactly Reno was hired by Shin-Ra if he had them before he was hired. Seeing as they are a military force and usually any military don't allow you to join if you have tattoo's prior to entry but if it after its fine. I always thought Reno must have got them just after he joined Shin-Ra but he has them in BC, so now i'm confused did he have superior skills so they made a exception? or what?

Reno is part of The Turks, which technically aren't a military organisation. And technically neither are Shin-Ra; they just have the most powerful military in the world at their disposal.

Well seing as the Turks are Shinra "dirty" force and mostly act behind the scenes i donīt think they are comparable to a military force but more to a final fantasy VII FBI squad
As for Reno i never even noticed he had a tattoo

Well FFVII is a different world to ours, tattoos might be allowed in the military.

He has two red marks near his eyes. I'm not sure if these are the tattoos he means.

Even if we are comparing FFVII to the real world...
I have PLENTY of friends in the military who do have tattoos. And in fact, plenty of people get their tattoos during their stay in the military.
