Did I get a good deal on FF7?
Good day to all,I Was recently at a 'mom n pop' store and I ran across a lot of old school PS1 games, I immediately asked for FF7, and it turns out they did have it !
Although all they had of FF7 was Disc 1 and 3 and the Booklet, (all in great condition!), I asked how much and he responded $9 per disc and only $2 for the Booklet! Only $20 in total! I was soooo excited needless to say I was very pleased with this find as the last time I had FF7 was around 1997
Now on to the question, I and some friends were debating whether or not this was a good purchase, I think they just don't understand this is probably the most sought after PS1 game in my opinion.
So what do you think? any feedback is greatly appreciated, on another note he had some complete sets of FF8 and 9 and I think another Booklet for FF7 and another disc 1 or 3 for the same prices, would it be a good idea for me to go back?, do you think it is a good price for 9 and 8 too?

Wow. That's really a good deal, yes. Normally, they sell used FF7 games for over 50 bucks on ebay.
Now, the question is...are all the discs working? You'll have to find out.

dude i think that he might have charged a little too much for the game he charged the basic selling price of a ps1 game for the full thing but you only got 2 disks. also may i suggest both ff 8 and 9 they are both pretty dang good in my opinion.

Oh...wait, so you didn't get disc 2 then?! =/ (I seriously have to read more carefully next time) That sucks. Well if you can simply borrow disc 2 from someone, then it's all good. If not...then you're kinda screwed lol. Disc 3 would be useless...
The purchase would be useless...
Go get disc 2!!

try and see if you can haggle the prices, if you need practice with haggling prices then may i suffest going to garage sales and trying your luck for a while but dont ask for anything outrageously cheap because people are trying to make some money not to lose it.

I geuss you right Cloud, I should have haggled the price because it was not complete, a friend of mine has a disc 2 (only) and I said I will buy it from him (if I need to, but I should'nt), now I just want the infamous 'Misprint' Case.
I just looked on Ebay and a complete case of FF7 usually goes for around 40 bucks plus usually aroung 5- 10 bucks shipping so you are paying about 45 to 50 and that is about 15 to 16 bucks a disc !.

I do think it's a good deal, but you better make sure you can find a copy of Disk 2. As said before, without Disk 2, Disk 3 will be useless. I think the booklet was over-priced though. By itself, it's almost worthless. Yet if a game doesn't have a booklet, it can drop almost 50% of it's value...
