falling for cloud
Makes you really wonder though.....since Cloud was really living the life of Zack....maybe she was falling in love with Zack instead? Or was it all a dream for 7 years then jessie started to fall for Cloud? Its hard to put a timeline on all this since there is a 7 year gap for almost every character. But from what it seemed Jessie liked Cloud but he could care less about anyone.

Zack's personality is totally different then Clouds. Zack was upbeat, happy, and hyper. Cloud was acting himself. The only thing he adopted from Zack, was Zack's SOLDIER title. |

It's really weird, since he kinda acted cold and distant towards Jessie in the beginning, and after he met Aeris he was all starting to go sweet, but it was obvious the Jessie really liked Cloud, makes you wonder if there ever could have been a Cloud x Jessie, but I think not. I think Cloud kinda fell in love with Aeris at first sight.

To me Jessie would have easily replaced Yuffie. They both seem to have the same attitude towards life. even though Jessie died. They could have easily swapped there places and edited a bit of the storyline. It was possible that Cloud somehow forgot a previous relationship with Jessie so she is still in love, although he does not know why. another chance is that there was a producer who believed at love at first sight and said
"Why not make Jessie fall for cloud?"
About the biggs love thing, there is a slim chance they were hugging each other wishing each other luck. But to me it seems they had a previous or current relationship. If Jessie lived to me the love triangle would have become the love Rhombus (or diamond shape) and the dating scene would include heaps of explosives.
but overall probably time will tell and in the PS3 remake they could hint on some answers. but at the moment it seems likely to me about the producer thing that I said at the end of the first paragraph. (WOOHOO! three paragraphs of reasons and theories!)

dont forget that in the flashback when when aeriths step-mom is at the train staion waiting for her husband to come back Jessie and Biggs looked the same back then as they did at the beginning of the game so maybe she wan't falling for him but maybe they were motherly feelings towards him instead

hmmm... yeah about that flash back at the trainstation with aerith's adopte mum, isnt that set like closer to ten years back, not quite ten but not just a couple of years like i mean there is a large space in the time line between the flash back and the beginning of the game, anything can happen between those two events. are we even sure that the 'happy couple' are even jessie and biggs??
