I'm getting pretty pissed.

Lately, I have had this huge urge to get Final Fantasy 7 and play it through once more. So, I went to all the local Slackers only to find out that they don't even hold those on the shelves anymore and instead stick them on Ebay as soon as they come in. Done there, I immediately went to Ebay when I got home only to find that the game is selling from in between 50 and 70 dollars apiece.

I mean...that's crazy! An old PS1 game...even as one as great as FF7 going for that much? Wow.

Basically, I'm ticked.

Ya. PS1 is nothing these days... Everyone goes for PS2 PS3 PSP DS Game boy advance. That price is stupid that's all I can say...

But I know what you mean, trying to find a game as great as that and only to be disappointed with such a stupid factor as price, yea, I'd be pretty pissed as well.

I share the pain. I bought FF7 on e-bay last year and cost me 70+ dollars. It was a brand new game, so it was actually a pretty good deal. I saw that people were selling used FF7 game for around 50 - 70 dollars, and to find one that was factory sealed was too good of an opportunity to pass.

But well, you have to realize too that it is one of the greatest game of all time. And it's been 10 years since it was released...I guess I would classify that as "classic."

That is a pretty good deal Suki. :p The reason it is so much is because the game isn't in print anymore and because of that it is rather rare.

Anyone wanna let me borrow a copy??? :p

Yeah, that price isnt bad. I mean, they dont make the game anymore, so they are almost impossible to come by, even on Ebay, but everythings on Ebay...

I still have my copy of Final Fantasy VII, but it has a huge crack on the case with a big stream of tape covering it. I'd bet I could still get a ridiculous amount of money for it on Ebay.

HA! Thats the same thing I thought when I bought it I believe early January this year. I had some extra money and I hadnt played it in a while, so I thought, well I have to buy my favorite game of all time. I call up the local game store, and he says they have a USED one in GOOD CONDITION in stock. I said great, how much? Im thinking around 20 bucks or so at the MOST. "55.00" he says. I was like "WHAT?!". I bought it anyways though. I dont believe it is that outrageous though, since Advent Children came out, alot of folk who hadnt played 7 watched it, and didnt really understand it, so they bought the game. Anyways, I was shocked and kinda mad as well when I first bought mine.

That's pretty much the thing though, you should really think of it as an investment and not the price associated with it. Sure its probably gonna cost you a good $70 for a used (good condition) copy or if you happen to luck out like Mitsuki did with finding a new sealed copy, BUY IT! Even if SE decides to remake this game for a future console, the original PS1 copy will always increase in value over the years.

BTW, keep tabs on Amazon as well, cheaper shipping!

You shouldn´t spend that kind of money on a PS1 game even if it is FFVII just do like me and invest your money on something really important like porn or something!
