how cool would this be?
do you think it'd be cool if they used the KH battle system on a FFVII remake? I had a dream about it. Yes, my life is that empty that i dream about remakes. But I think it'd be a success.

It might be fun for two minutes, but it would completely butcher the game. I think a lot of veterans would lose any respect they have for Square over it.
Plus, it would fail as a Final Fantasy, not having an ATB and all.

God no, I really don't care for the KH battle system at all. My copies are sat gathering dust totally unplayed and if they did that to an FFVII remake that would probably sit gathering dust with them

yea i agree the lack of ATB would take away alot from the game it could even be called Final Fantasy!! Gud idea for a game thou would be nice to see the system outside of KH

Seeing as I prefer Kingdom Hearts to Final Fantasy, it's hard for me completely shoot down the idea...
...but I'm not feeling it. I wouldn't make such a drastic change with a Final Fantasy VII remake.

I wouldn't buy it either. It takes away completely from the feel of the game. I imagine it would have a more FFXII feeling to it except you'd have button mashing. Not my cup of tea.

Of course not, FFVIIs battle system is a large part of it's charm. KH's battle system relies more on the AI than FFXII does.
KH battle system in a FFVII remake would indeed, suck.

Er no. I like FFVII the way it is. I fell in love with the game as is, and if they are going to make a re-make, there shouldn't be any drastic changes (except of course the graphics). Kingdom Hearts' battle system was enjoyable enough for me, but so was the battle system for FFVII. =)
