Because if they did, I still wouldn't be able to get it, so I'd still be wanting a remake. Around here, they only carry really popular titles for the current gen and next-gen consoles. Thus, I won't be able to have it in my hands even if it were re-released.

Considering how popular VII was and still is, I think they would still rerelease it where you are since it can be played on the PS2 and PS3.

True, but the stores here don't carry any PS1 games at all, unless I go to EB Games in Tallahassee, but me and my family rarely go to the malls there anymore, and I've never seen FFVII there either when I did go to the malls. FFVII's like Vagrant Story, A game I've always been wanting to play to completion, but never got my hands on.

Its in these situations that a rom is acceptable 
Well at least you'd have SOMETHING before a rerelease or the ever so elusive remake comes to pass.

If they did make a remake i deffo buy it even though i dont have a PS3 im saving up for one but its taking ages i hate the local shops lol they pay so very little!!!! If they do make a remake what kind of camera angles would they use? also i'd love to see heidegger lol his laugh is funny Ghahahahah

well, voice acting wouldn't be a problem, just get the voices from advent children, can't be a problem, right? and i think we can all agree those voices are good enough, aren't they?
and well, i watched a movie clip about the sephiroth battle... i had to turn it off because i was getting a headache, and i'm not lying, i was actually getting a headache, the movie was using the same music as in the game, probably recorded with a ROM or TV to PC connection
the song one winged angel was just raped imo...
think there's reasons enough to remake
-graphics
-music
-argueable best FF game
it will sell, that's for sure, so i can't see why they wouldn't do it... the costs? they get the amount of money they use to make it back in quadriple(spelling?) no, i fact a LOT times more
time? concidering the story, voice acting is already covered, there's a lot of time won
